The GE Smartwater GWF cartridge is designed for all GE refrigerators that have cartridges fitting inside the refrigerator compartment. This includes Water by Culligan, Smartwater and Smartwater plus systems. The GWF series has recently been superceeded by the MWF cartridge, which offers enhanced filtration in a slightly shorter profile cartridge - if your fridge currently has a GWF, then the MWF will also fit.
Note the GWF is now officially discontinued and only the MWF version is available and supported by GE.
It features a simple push-and-twist installation (as simple as changing a light bulb) and is based on block carbon technology, meaning it offers excellent chlorine and sediment reduction - greatly improving the taste of your water.
The GE range of cartridges are designed to be replaced either at six monthly intervals or when the 'replace cartridge' light comes on (if fitted).
Fits models: PCD42ZM, PCG21B, PCG21F, PCG21S, PCG21W - and any other model that corresponds with this cartridge part number (GWF, GWF01, GWF06, MXRC*, FXRT*, FXRC*).
